In 2009 General Motors will debut a full-size pickup truck that will offer 40% better city driving fuel economy and 25% better overall fuel economy.
It’s called the Sierra Hybrid, and it’s not only a world-class green vehicle, but it can also tow up to 6,100 pounds.
General Motors is also known for creating the Saturn VUE Green Line Hybrid and the Chevy Malibu Hybrid, two eco-friendly vehicles that are revolutionizing the hybrid car industry. Now they’ve done it again with a V8-powered truck that’s perfect for both the city and the country.
Here are some green features of the Sierra Hybrid:
The Sierra also has a cruising range of 500 miles, and it’s Energy Storage System, which works with the hybrid engine, is warranted for eight years or 100,000 miles.
This new vehicle is supposed to deliver the best fuel economy of any full-size truck on the market.
If it does, it will be a great way for people who use large trucks for work to save a little bit on gas money, and it will be a small step forward in the fight against global warming.
