Thanks to the Vectrix Corporation, a company that focuses on clean and efficient inner-city transportation, these green vehicles are now for sale in the U.S.

Green is Good

A scooter is really an ideal mode of transportation for college students who need to get around campus or for people who live in congested urban areas.

These Vectrix green scooters defy any Honda or Vespa scooter that has ever been out on the market.

Not only can they go from 0-50 mph in 6.8 seconds, but they can zip very easily in and out of traffic without making virtually any noise.

They can also be plugged into any standard 110V outlet, and it only takes about 4 hours to fully charge their 3.7 kilowatt NiMH battery packs.

The price for the Vectrix starts at about $8,795, and even though that’s pretty steep, you’ll end up saving tons of money on gas and maintenance. You will also reduce your carbon footprint by not creating any carbon dioxide emissions.

Here's the scooter:

If you’re interested in buying a Vectrix, you can click here to find a dealership near you, or you can send in your contact information and a representative will get in touch with you.

These Vectrix Electric scooters are an amazing and eco-friendly way to travel.

So if you can afford one, they will be a very valuable investment for you and for the environment.

....so I take it the electricity you use to charge up is completely carbon free? From windmills or the like? Misleading information being provided, as most of your electricity supply comes from coal fired power stations.

So how can this scooter be zero emissions when there is no zer emission electricty? Why are you green people such complete liars?

The scooter itself is zero emissions, leaving the owner with options of how to charge it. If you are generating electricity at home via solar or paying the utility for wind or other non-polluting energy sources, you can charge the vehicle without contributing to (mch) to carbon emissions. If you plug into the standard grid, you'll be using energy that is probably not very clean, but the efficiency of this mode of transportation means you're still reducing your overall emmisions (compared with standard cars) and localizing it to power plants rather than spewing your emissions right in the city where we all live and breathe. It is not misleading to state that you're reducing your carbon footprint with use of an electric scooter.
