It’s Earth Day so dust off your cassette of Michael Jackson’s “Heal The World” and get out and make a difference on your campus. Companies all over the country are participating in Earth Day awareness… you can even get a free cup of Starbucks coffee if you bring in a reusable cup!
Try one of the following ways to show your appreciation of Earth Day:
- Pledge an Act of Green on Earth Day to raise awareness
- Lowe’s is giving away 1 million free trees tomorrow, 4/23! Donate it to your campus!
- Get a free coffee from Starbucks when you bring your own mug!
- Play the Earth Day Game.
- Sign a petition against coal, to make meaningful food choices for the planet, or for comprehensive green jobs.
Remember, every day is a good day to great an eco friendly campus but Earth Day helps bring awareness to others and the university you attend. Even something as small as not driving for the day or using less paper will make a world of a difference, not just a green campus!
