I’m definitely interested in being more sustainable and colleges that acknowledge the importance in that and are taking steps to becoming more of a “green campus” are much more appealing to me in my college search. I’ve been using a program called AcceptEdge online to help me narrow down my choices which is cool because it takes into consideration my personal interests, such as living a sustainable lifestyle.

I work in college admissions and I’m greatly concerned about the amount of waste we are putting forward from our campuses and know that students will start to notice how much we are wasting on campus and wondering if we are being good stewards of the resources we’ve been given – most of it from student tuition.
